These are the nominees for the Music in Media Awards 2025

The Music in Media Awards (MIMAs) 2025 are almost here. On Wednesday 16 April, the most impressive music compositions in film, television, radio, documentary, advertising, games and other media will be celebrated during this event by Buma Music in Motion. It’s time to announce the 2025 nominees in the twelve categories. Traditionally, an Oeuvre Award Music in Media will also be awarded this year to a creator who has left an unmistakable mark on the world of music in media.

The nominees of Music in Media Awards 2025

With the MIMAs, Buma Music in Motion puts the work of Dutch composers in the spotlight and emphasizes the enormous diversity of musical contributions within media. A good example of the prominent role of music in media production is the use of ‘Een Stukje van Mij’ by MEAU in the recent KPN campaign.

The nominees, who were selected from all submissions, show how Dutch composers are making their mark on various genres and formats, both nationally and internationally. In addition, the number of female composers among the nominees continues to grow, a positive development that Buma Music in Motion would love to continue. Dutch productions, mainly Dutch films and series, are also increasingly receiving the attention they deserve. View all MIMA’s 2025 nominees below.
